Installing McAfee Agent on Unix

Installation of the agent on Unix-based operating systems generates four files located as follows:

Operating System Location Contents
HP-UX /opt/McAfee/cma All binaries, logs, agent working area.
/etc/cma.d/ Configuration and management info (including GUID and
agent version) needed to manage point-products.
/etc/cma.conf Configuration and management info in xml format,
allowing point-products to read.
/sbin/init.d/cma Script for starting and stopping the agent both manually
and when called by the system.
Linux /opt/McAfee/cma All binaries, logs, agent working area.

  /Library/StartupItems/cma/cma Script for starting and stopping the agent both manually
and when called by the system.
Solaris /opt/McAfee/cma All binaries, logs, agent working area.
  /etc/cma.d/ Configuration and management info (including GUID and
agent version) needed to manage point-products.
  /etc/cma.conf Configuration and management info in xml format,
allowing point-products to read.
  /etc/init.d/cma Script for starting and stopping the agent both manually
and when called by the system.
